Besides, being molested by a squid is disproportionate retribution for trespassing anyway. He didn't know squid nested in caves, he's only seen a squid up close once in his life and that was when it tried to eat his ship.
But that aside, he's more than a little shocked and slightly uncomfortable with what's going on inside him, both from the 'thing aren't really supposed to be up there' feeling and the physical stretching going on below.
"Ugh..." he mutters more to himself than anything, as he's not expecting an answe.
