The giant squid's territory had claimed many men in the past. The plant was powerful and it felt like it's duty to protect it. So many men had died from it's tentacles, it's poison, it's pure death. That's what it was here for, after all. For now, it rested. Patiently and quietly...
That is, until it heard foot steps. And it awoke. No humans allowed. Especially no men. It's tentacle jolted out quickly and grabbed the pirate by the leg, forcing him into it's grasp. Hanging it upside down in front of him and breathing heavily. It had been dark in the front, but in the back, the eyes of the monster shone.
Vyse could only bargin and hope he'd get a chance to be free.
